Inside the Twin Bond: Shoot The Twin on Art, Music, and Curating TNA Vol. 4

The Unbreakable Bond of Creativity: An Interview with Shoot The Twin

Let’s be real—collaboration isn’t easy. But for some, it’s less of a struggle and more of an unspoken rhythm. Enter Maria and Hannah, the powerhouse twins behind Shoot The Twin, a Spanish lifestyle brand that fuses art, music, photography, and fashion into something you can actually feel. Forget the fluff—this is raw, this is real, and these two are anything but ordinary. When their creativity collides, it's magic, and they’ve channeled that into TNA Vol. 4, the newest playlist curated by the duo.

We sat down with them to get inside their heads, dig into their process, and find out what makes their twin bond so damn unstoppable. The result? A conversation as authentic as it gets.

Let’s talk about being twins. Everyone always has some romantic idea of it, but for you two, what does that connection actually mean when it comes to creativity?

Maria: It’s like we have this unspoken language, but it goes deeper than just understanding each other’s words. We don’t even need to talk sometimes. One of us will have an idea, and before you know it, the other one’s already on it. There's no hesitating, no explaining—just this flow. It’s like having a mirror that reflects not only your thoughts but the things you didn’t even know you wanted to create.

Hannah: Exactly. That twin connection cuts out all the usual back-and-forth that happens when you collaborate with someone else. We push each other, and we don’t play it safe. If one of us comes up with an idea, the other one’s already adding to it or improving it. It’s spontaneous, fluid, and that’s when the best stuff happens.

I bet you’ve had some moments where that connection sparked something bigger than either of you expected. Can you remember one?

Hannah: Yeah, for sure. One moment that stands out was when we were in London, where I was producing an event and Maria was there shooting it. We were running in parallel but somehow completely in sync. I’d be managing something chaotic, and she’d be in the corner, quietly capturing it. It was like we were in each other’s heads—she knew exactly what to shoot, where to be, without either of us having to say a word.

Maria: That’s the thing—when we’re creating together, it’s not just about being twins, it’s about being in a creative flow that feels effortless. That day in London? The event was intense, but we turned it into something extraordinary. It’s moments like that when you realize that being twins doesn’t just mean sharing a history. It means creating something bigger, together.

So, you’re pulling inspiration from each other. But when it comes to your work, how do your individual tastes come into play?

Maria: Our inspiration comes from different places, but it always converges. I’m drawn to quieter, more introspective things—capturing moments that feel personal, almost like you’re peeking into someone’s mind. Photography does that for me.

Hannah: I’m the opposite. I thrive on energy, on movement. The city, events, people—that’s what fuels me. But that contrast is what makes it work. We might start in different places, but it all comes together in the end. That push and pull between our styles is what gives our work depth. It’s never one-dimensional.

Maria: And music is always there, weaving through everything we do. No matter what phase we’re in, music finds its way into our process.

Music seems to play a big role in your work, especially when you’re creating. What are you listening to when you’re in the zone?

Hannah: Lately, I’ve been obsessed with RY X. I met him in Mykonos a few summers ago, and ever since then, his ethereal sound has been my go-to when I’m creating. There’s something about his music that just opens up space in my mind to think more deeply. It’s cinematic, emotional, and it hits you hard.

Maria: I’m on a different wavelength right now. Indie surf vibes have been my soundtrack. It’s breezy, laid-back, and helps me settle into a creative groove. We’ve always got our own sounds going on, but that’s what makes our playlists so rich—it’s a mix of everything that’s inspiring us at the moment.

Hannah: That’s the thing. We might be in different headspaces musically, but when we put it together, it feels cohesive. We’ve made playlists like Shoot The Twin Vibes and I Am Free... that are basically snapshots of our lives at different times, and that’s reflected in TNA Vol. 4.

You two seem to have developed your skills organically, not through any formal training. How did that shape the way you approach your art and your business?

Maria: Growing up, we didn’t have formal training, but we didn’t need it. Our family traveled a lot, and that constant exposure to new cultures, art, and experiences shaped our creativity in ways no school could have. It was organic—everything we did was driven by curiosity.

Hannah: Exactly. Our creative instincts came from what we saw and experienced, not from textbooks. We were out there, experiencing life, absorbing what inspired us, and that’s still how we approach everything we do with Shoot The Twin. We’re constantly learning, constantly evolving, and it’s that real-world exposure that gives our work depth.

So what’s next? You’ve got this playlist, but what other projects are you diving into?

Hannah: Right now, we’re pushing boundaries with some new projects for HAWT—we’re really experimenting with craftsmanship and design, taking things further than we’ve ever done before.

Maria: And I’ve been working on some photography projects, collaborating on editorial shoots for magazines in Sydney. It’s all about bold concepts and captivating visuals. On top of that, we’re working on a new limited edition jewelry line for Shoot The Twin. Each piece is personal, each one tells a story.

Finally, any advice for creatives trying to find their voice or the right partner to collaborate with?

Maria: Stop trying to “find yourself.” You don’t find yourself—you create yourself. Every choice, every action, every person you surround yourself with shapes who you are. Be intentional. Be bold. And don’t be afraid to push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Hannah: Surround yourself with people who make you better. The right collaboration happens naturally when you’re passionate about the same things. And don’t be afraid to experiment. Take risks. That’s where the magic happens.
