Casa Bonay hosted the second edition of ‘Face to Face' on February 22nd Reinterpreting the project carried out by Antoni Miralda and Montse Guillén at ‘El Internacional’ in 1986 where 60 twin brothers and sisters met to celebrate the first ‘Face to Face’ in history. Bonay & Miralda ‘El Internacional’ Tapas Bar & Restaurant was an anthropological and artistic experiment by Catalan artist Antoni Miralda and chef Montse Guillén. Miralda transformed a restaurant into a work of art, making it one of the most charismatic spots in New Yorks TriBeCa neighborhood in the 1980’s. Frequented by countless celebrities as Warhol, Basquiat, Keith Haring, David Lynch and Robert de Niro, among many others, playing a key role in the social and cultural transformation of this industrial neighborhood. Thirty-one years later, The MACBA and Casa Bonay recover all of the artist’s work presenting ‘MIRALDA MADEINUSA’ an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, and the presentation of the book ‘El Internacional’ at Casa Bonay.
